Many local business owners know that getting positive customers reviews on social media can make Google jump for joy, i.e. shoot to the top of local search results.
Unfortunately, getting customer to leave positive reviews on social media is not easy.
People just do not have the time or energy to review local businesses, especially for businesses that provide your "typical services."
By typical services I mean commonplace businesses like insurance, home repair, realtors, financial advisors, bottled water, retail sales, etc.
Nothing against typical businesses, I own one myself. When was the last time you gave your Internet Marketing Consultant a glowing review on Google Plus? Eh? Makes you yawn just thinking about it.
Unless you are Amazon or a hot restaurant/night club or some other flashy business, most likely your customers are not going to voluntarily leave glowing reviews for your business on the web.
Unless of course you provide terrible customer service or products, this is a great way to get customer reviews. But that's another topic for another day.
So what can you do to get the much needed positive customer review that helps your findability on the web?
